Our Journey in Windsor-Essex

Our Story

Our Journey in Windsor-Essex

For many years, the India Canada Association has been a cornerstone of cultural connection in our region. What began as a small initiative by families wishing to stay connected to their roots has blossomed into a thriving organization. Over the decades, we have hosted hundreds of cultural events, supported local charitable causes, and provided a welcoming space for newcomers and long-time residents alike to celebrate the rich tapestry of Indian traditions right here in Canada.

Humble Beginnings

A small group of Indo-Canadian families came together with a shared dream to preserve their heritage and build community bonds.

First Major Events

Launched our flagship cultural events, welcoming hundreds of community members to celebrate Diwali, Holi, and Independence Day.

Community Outreach Growth

Expanded our reach beyond culture partnering with local organizations to support charitable causes across Windsor-Essex.

A Thriving Community Today

Now 500+ members strong, we continue to grow as a vibrant, inclusive, and influential voice in the Windsor region.
